Fits
Community Fits is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates culturally relevant spaces for creativity, learning, and community connection. Sewing and textile arts are at the center of our work, and through workshops, events, and hands-on programs, we offer equitable opportunities for youth and adults to learn new skills, express themselves, and build confidence. Our trauma-informed, wellness-centered approach ensures that every space supports healing, culture, and meaningful community care.

SEWING 101: GETTING STARTED

Learn machine basics, stitches, and key sewing terms. Perfect if you’re new to sewing or don’t know where to start.
SEWING 102: BEYOND THE BASICS

Build your skills with cutting, curves, zippers, seam finishes, and construction techniques.
BANDANA PUFFER TOTE BAG

THE PERFECT HEM (PANTS)

Learn to measure, pin, and sew a clean hem. Bring your own pants to work on.

Bring a pattern or sewing project and get hands-on support.
FIX IT & UPCYCLE

Bring clothing or fabric items to repair, mend, patch, or alter.
QUILT CLUB: 4-WEEK SERIES
Aug 29, Sept 4, 11 & 18 | 1:00 PM
Create a full-size quilt while building foundational sewing skills. No experience needed & supplies included.
